Whether you’ve spent the entire day road tripping through the road less traveled, splashing your way down the Snake River with our sister business Dave Hansen Whitewater, or exploring one of our local hikes, the wild west creates a hunger within all of us that must be fed.
At Snake River Cabins & RV Village, we offer the necessities to satisfy your hunger and amplify your camping experience. Our deluxe cabins are equipped with a kitchen and propane grill, while each of our camping cabins has a private picnic table and firepit with a grill. If you are staying at a tent site, you will have access to your own fire ring with a grill and picnic table. Be sure to visit our general store for munchables, firewood, and charcoal.
Everyone knows downtown Jackson, Wyoming has word-class restaurants ranging from fine dining to family-friendly and fast-casual eats. But for those wanting to stay out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Jackson, there are a few great places to grab a bite south of town, very close to our very own Snake River Cabins & RV Village.
Hoback Market: Just minutes from our village is the Hoback Market, a large gas station, marketplace, and liquor store that carries anything and everything from spinach, to bratwursts, to chips and dip to our local’s favorite alcoholic beverage, sloshies.
JH Marketplace: Heading towards Jackson for the day? Be sure to swing by JH Marketplace to build your own sandwich, grab a hot breakfast burrito and coffee, enjoy their rotating hot specials, or pick up an on-the-go cold case item. In addition to its 5-star deli, JH Marketplace has a full liquor store and marketplace, making it a one-stop-shop for all your needs.
The Bird: Right behind JH Marketplace is The Bird, a sit-down family-friendly favorite for Sunday brunch and daily lunch and dinner. Housemade whenever possible, The Bird is a local favorite for its relaxed and casual vibe, massive back porch views overlooking the southern Tetons, and full bar. Enjoy a light salad or hearty Philly cheesesteak, smack your fingers on their famous wings, or order up the “dirty @*&%”, a mouth-watering burger made with fresh ground brisket, bacon, fried egg, American cheese, and pickled beets. You’ll likely be sitting next to other rafters, as it’s everyone’s favorite stop after a day on the river.
Buffalo Bill’s Food Truck: Last but not least, swing by Buffalo Bill’s food truck in Hoback, WY for a casual, yet comforting meal… Don’t be fooled that it’s a food truck, as Buffalo Bill’s services some of the best farm-to-table meats sourced locally from Carter Country Meats, a 4th generation ranch based in Tensleep, WY. Open daily and offering organic, vegetarian, pescetarian, carnivorous and gluten-free options, indulge in anything from a daily curry, fish tacos, quesadilla, veggie burger, build-your-own hot dog, or a variety of burger options.
